Although there is a promising rise in the attention dedicated to the web and business analytics world, something still does not smell right… Ah, yes, that’s it: things are actually moving, just too bad they are moving in the wrong direction!
Everybody seems to misunderstand analysis with accounting. Most companies look at sales data and web numbers, then they draw charts, depict graphs, and eagerly comment on the state of their marketing efforts. And this is fine. But then, the next step is missing: data must drive action. This missing piece of the puzzle still lacks the attention it needs. That one single thing that differentiates analysis from accounting: taking action.
Just do something, I say. Think NEXT!
